The form "A Jiu A Ba" is a common spoken language in the modern Chinese language; it was formed by two same words "A", the adverb "Jiu" and the modal particle "Ba".By gathering and analyzing the concerned language material, we found that the scope of the A which can be the "A" in "A Jiu A Ba" form is very range. It shows that most of the notional word can enter this form while no function world can enter the form; and the verb, the noun, the adjective are the most common notional word types. Besides the words we discussed before, some phrases can also be the "A", such as verb-object phrase, modifier-noun phrase, central-complement phrase, classifier phrase, orientation phrase, particle phrase and so on. The word "Jiu" in the form is a adverb, it connect the two "A"s before and after. The word "Ba" in the form is a modal particle which shows doubts. The form "A Jiu A Ba" can be one simple sentence, can be one sentence of the sentence group, it can also be relative syntactic constituents.The former A (A 1) of the "A Jiu A Ba" comes from some elements (AO) in the preceding part of the text (S); we call it the echoing part. The later A (A2) is the copy of the former A (Al); we call it the copying part. So the intact "A Jiu A Ba" form can be expressed as "S (AO), A1 Jiu A2 Ba". The A1 in the echoing part can extracted from the AO by fully capture, partly capture and hiding capture three ways. Although the A2 in the copying part is copying from the A1, the A1 and A2 are not symmetrical completely, the semantic relation between the A0, A1 and A2 is "AO≥A1≥A2".As one certain form, the "A Jiu A Ba" form has its structural meanings; however most of the meanings are not self-sufficiency. So there are semantic-completing sentences in the text before or after the "A Jiu A Ba" form. Linking all these semantic-completing sentences, we can divide the meanings of "A Jiu A Ba" form into five types; they are "Helpless", "Compromise", "Doesn’t Matter", "Console" and "Sullenness". The "Compromise" form and the "Doesn’t Matter" form can also be regarded by different purposes and different contexts.The "A Jiu A Ba" form is related to but different from some relevant forms, such as the "A Jiu A" form and the form "V A Jiu A Ba" form, the differences are mainly in constituting and meaning. Compared to the "A Jiu A" form; the "A Jiu A Ba" form can’t express some strong meaning; like "Certain", "Blame", "Not to be outdone". And the meaning is weaker. If we discuss it pragmatically, we can see the evident subjectivity characteristic in "A Jiu A Ba" form, especially on the speaker’s emotion and the speaker’s cognition. The semantic focus of "A Jiu A Ba" form is the reason why it is not stress pronounced.In the end, this article analyses the teaching material and teaching key points of the "A Jiu A Ba" form. Based on the results, we also try to give some suggestions to help teaching.
