Prairie culture has a long history, which is created, enjoyed, and inherited by people’s living and practicing experiences for many years. With the publication of Wolf Totem written by Jiang Rong, in 2004, which quickly becoming a national bestseller, people are not only impressed by wolves’ advanced tactics, like their ambush and patience, and moved by wolves’ sense of cooperation and their affection for families, people are also impressed by Inner Prairie people’s bold and unconstrained. The literary works are the cultural production of Prairie people’s national spirit and the results of mutual penetration and fusion of Anthropological and Ethnological Sciences and Literature. These literary works show the spirits of the nationality on horseback vividly with rich spiritual connotation. They reflect the geographical environment and ecological civilization of grassland, and also present their people’s multiple personalities and social life.Prairie people’s spirit is the constant evolution of Prairie folkways in geography and times. Eventually, this spirit has become the historical production to norm Mongolian people’s behavior, language and psychology. All outstanding literary works are inseparable from the perception of life. Without rich experience and comprehension of life, writers couldn’t write outstanding works. Inner Prairie contemporary literary world has emerged in great numbers of excellent literary works, including Maraqinfu’s Endless Plain, Wulanbagan’s Unstable Life and Zhang Chengzhi’s The Back Steed. These great works makes people to wonder how strong the authors’ folk culture, the national spirit and the passion are. The emergence of a series of grassland novels in Inner Mongolian literary world praises the past and present life of grassland people, and depicts the unique qualities and inherent characters of them. These literary works open up a wider road for Chinese Mongolian literature, and make great contribution to Chinese contemporary literature. Traditional Mongolian ethnic folk culture has distinctive national cultural characteristics and strongly bound with grassland. As a magnificent treasure of folk culture, it shows the charm of cultural characteristic features. Chinese literature, like a giant boat sailing bravely through the wind and wave, has been outstanding in the world. Chinese literature is booming, with many famous writers and works constantly emerging, to attract worldwide attention. Literary works, depicting ethnic style and tradition, practically and slightly exaggeratedly restore the historical process of China. The microcosm and the essence of the particular periods and particular social backgrounds, has great literary value and social significance. The literary works achieve a perfect organic unity and artistic recreation of aesthetic characteristics of Prairie People and the deep meaning of literary works.
