Public interest advertisements are playing a positive role in stopping unhealthy social trends, spreading correct values, promoting the healthy growth of society, and creating a harmonious society. China’s public interest advertisements have, since the founding of the PRC, made great advances in both topic selection and communication media. Yet, in order to further promote the healthy development of public interest advertisements, the guidance of people from all walks of life and from various angles is required. Whether the expression forms in the design of public interest advertisements can attract the attention and interest of audiences decides whether information can be successfully transmitted to them. Based on typical examples both at home and abroad, this paper analyzes the expression methods and forms of public interest advertisements, and concludes that regional features, interactive design and comprehensive sensual experience are the most important factors among all for new-form public interest advertisements. Meanwhile, this project will, based on the analysis of the new forms of public interest advertisements, apply the results to the graduation work which will create interaction through stimulating the vision and touch of audiences and correctly and efficiently transfer the intention of this advertisement to audiences. Based on the project and graduation work, this paper concludes that interactive public interest advertisements that stimulate multiple senses have the salient feature of combining personality and art, and thus are an important direction for future public interest advertisements.
