A Study Of Zuo 's Family Literature In Laiyang In The Late Ming And Early Qing Dynasties

The Zuo’Fimily moved from Zhangqiu to Laiyang country in the Yongle period of Ming Dynasty. Through its own development and uniting to marriage, the Zuo’Fimily of Laiyang country were growing rapidly. To the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties, it had developed into a local noble family. Not only in the imperial examination system, but also has its place in the field of literature. However, existing researchs are mostly about personal story of Zuo Maodi, they did not focus on the family’s literary creation. This Paper will take the literature of the Zuo’Fimily as a study point, and mainly discuss three questions, from the external environment and internal factors for promoting the development of literature of the Zuo’Fimily in Laiyang country to the performance of literary prosperity.The Paper is composed by six parts. The introduction briefly describes the significance of the research on the Zuo’Fimily of Laiyang Country in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties; the academic research review; the methords and conclusions of the research... The first chapter focuses on the external factors, including the literary world in the late Ming and early Qing D-ynasties and literary prosperity in Laiyang country in this time. The second chapter and the third chapter focus on the inner motivation of literary prosperity, respectively studing from its development course (the imperial examination system, the eunuch, and uniting to marriage) to traditional education and collected, edited and published books. The fourth chapter and the fifth chapter mainly show the phenomenon of literature prosperity. One is the literature interaction of the Zuo’Fimily members, and the other is conditions of the literature creation.Family literature is an important side in the regional literature. This Paper takes the research of literature on the Zuo’Fimily of Laiyang country in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties as the key point, and then viewing the phenomenon of literary prosperity in this particular historical period. I hope this research can provide a real case for reference to regional literature study.
