Italo Calvino is a famous writer in contemporary Italy, He as a post-modern novelist has been understanded by Chinese readers, His whole life is committed to innovation of the novel form, In fact, Calvino’s novel combine new writing technique with the ancient folk literature especially the fairy tale, The combination of traditional and modern, The previous scholars focus on fairy elements of the 《I nostril antenati)), They think the author’s other novel such as (Cosmicomics》、《Invisible Cities》、《The Castle of Crossed Destinies》are postmodern novels, which the author in order to reform the novel’s form.This paper try to find the author’s other postmodern novel,which have fairy elements, On the basis of it, Instruct between Calvino’s novel and the fairy tale difference and contact, Calvino’s novels are for adults, the author face to life is sensitive and advance,he can see the essence through the phenomena, Calvino’s novel have strong reality to the life, it contain theme of the modern life, Through the analysis of the fairy novel,We can have more clear understanding about Calvino’s novel in a new angle.
