Jiang Tie, as the only private one of the three famous block-printed calligraphy books in Bei Song Dynasty has the close origin with the government organized ChunHua calligraphy. As the first rubbing book is the rare one, once it was obtained by luck, there would be a great spread of it in the popular culture. So, with the birth of Jiang Tie, there has been a great number of refurbished versions. With the amount of its reprinting increasing, its branches, pedigrees had become more and more complex. And scholars, calligraphers, appreciators and collectors had a series of studies to it and then formed a special cultural landscape of calligraphy.From the angle of document this paper first systematically sorts out the relevant born description of 16 kinds of versions, and their engraved authenticity, origin of version and so on. On this basis, the paper has compared the existing of Ming Dynasty version, collected by Feng Quan, in Palace Musenm with the Song rubbing version in The National Library in their content, style and the differences of calligraphy art characteristics. At the same time, it compares them with ChunHua calligraphy, and reveals its historical cultural change and root cause behind the differences, in order to obtain some new knowledge and the richness for study.
