Qu Dajun was a famous writer in early Qing Dynasty. He had achievements both in poetry and prose. However, many scholars only focused on the study of Qu’s Poetry and Ci from1970s, few people paid attention to Qu’s prose.In fact, Qu Dajun composed lots of high-quality prose which had a rather high value in the field of history, literature and philosophy. This paper aims at studying Qu Dajun’s prose contents and theory on the background of perdition of Ming Dynasty.The paper consists five chapters:The preface introduces the current research status and the research value on Qu Dajun’s prose.Chapter one is concerned on Qu’s life experience and his prose chronicles with the purpose of a better understanding on the evolution of his academic thought.Chapter two analyzes Qu’s prose theory from the following aspects:Qu’s thoughts on "Wen" and "Dao", aesthetic standard and his composing principle.Chapter three focuses on the analysis of Qu Dajun’s prose contents. According to different gist in his prose, we categorized them as the following four topics:"Missing the native land, fighting against the reign of Qing"."Advocating Confucianism, protecting Confucian orthodoxy"."Mourning for the dead, cherishing the memory of martyrs"."Discussing social reality, commenting on literature".Chapter four study on the artistic features of Qu Dajun’s prose. Qu’s prose carried forward the fine tradition from the articles both in Qin and Han dynasty, which made his prose natural, fluent and moving.In a word, Qu Dajun’s prose and theory had a great influence on later generation. |
