The reflex of the filmdom is the microcosm of the times. Inevitably, the film will be much more commercialized and industrialization with the development of the China movie market in future. Horror movies, as an important part of the genre film, attract the crowds by its special narrative style. The demand of the public is becoming increasingly diverse, which is a serious challeng to the various types of movies. And horror movies are no exception. As the Global Times said:"Besides primary care services,movies will provide the third type of service for the crowds with the development of the technology".The thesis research the narrative style of Byeong-ki Ahn’s movies according to his works. Since the great horror film named<Gawi> which directed by Byeyong-ki Ahn in2000before<Bunshinsaba3> was released in July this year, all the film of his works is horror movie. He is worthy of the Master of Horror. It was in2012that Byeong-ki Ahn set up his studio in China.<Bunshinsaba>, the first Chinese-Language Film directed by Byeong-ki, was released in July this year. As its excellent horror and specific style of storytelling,it is lauded as "Pervasive Bunshinsaba". What’s more,<Bunshinsaba> ascended the top of the box office in China and the second place in Korea with61millions yuan in projectedsales.<Bunshinsaba2>,the second horror Chinese-Language Film directed by Byeong-ki, was stared by a Korea actress who named Park Han Byul. It defeated all the same type of movies rely on the7000preferences on the first day of releasing in July,2013. It expressed the confusedness, arduousness and probe of life by mindbending suspense. The horror has its source in mental sad and redemption in Byeong-ki’s film works, which make the crowds reflect on humanity profoundly. There are two significances of researching the narrative style of Byeyong-ki Ahn’s movies. Firstly, Byeyong-ki, who is famous as the Master of Horror, is worthy of researching. Secondly, Byeong-ki’s film work is still the horror style since he came to China in2012.So researching his movies precisely can influence the Chinese horror movies more or lessThis paper can be divided into3parts. The first part is to summarize the basic concept of the thriller movies,the movies of Byeong-ki and the uniqueness of aesthetic style of his movies; The second part is to analysis the narrative style of Byeong-ki’s movies from audiovisual narrative and plot narrative; The last part focus on the value of cultural psychology of Byeong-ki’s thriller movies and the revelation to Chinese horror and thriller movies. There are four chapterss in the thesis. The first chapter introduces the definition and narrative features of the thriller movies,then shows Byeong-ki Ahn and his all works about movies, and then the exploration of diversified themes,and his unique poetic interpretation about oriental horror aesthetics. The second chapter discussed the depth profiling of the audiovisual narrative of Byeong-ki’s thriller movies by frames, scenes, shadow,musical asoustics and other audiovisual elements. The third chapter analysis the plot narrative of Byeong-ki’s movies in3sides, which is the narrative perspective, visual focus and narrative structure. The last chapter explores the cultural value of terrorist scenes building and the psychology identity of viewers, as well as the revelations of the film creation to our horror movies in future.
