Convergence is an important feature of the chapter, and nominal anaphora is an important measure to make small sentences join into a chapter. The use of nominal anaphora is a natural sense of language to the Chinese people, but a difficult part for the learners of Chinese language. In this paper, we based on a large corpus of interlanguage to analyze the use of nominal anaphora of students in middle and high grades from the perspective of the chapter, and classify the errors, analyze the causes of them. And then we give recommendations for Chinese chapter teaching. This Paper is divided into five chapters.The first chapter, introduction. This chapter made an overview of the status of anaphora research studies both from the main body of modern Chinese discourse and interlanguage discourse. And we pointed out the research methods from research value, the choice of the corpus.The second chapter, the term refers to the overall research of the use of the nominal anaphora. In this chapter, we identified some concepts, like small sentence, anaphora, as well as the specific operation of this study. And we classified the nominal anaphora used in interlanguage corpus:the same shape, the same shape locally, synonymous shaped, whole-part relationship and metaphor. Among them, we classified the same shape locally into three categories:the omitted, the add-in, the omit-add-in. And the whole-part relationship is divided into two categories:antecedent-anaphor and anaphor-antecedent. And by the statistical method, we contrasted the number of nominal anaphora the foreign students used and the Chinese people use. We found that the foreign students used too much pronouns anaphora, but too little nominal anaphora. With the improvement of the learning phase, the amount of back ordered the students were getting closer to the Chines people, but the amount of nominal anaphora was still less than the Chinese people. The senior students’frequency of the use of various types of nominal anaphora has been consistent with the Chinese people, but the middle class students still used too much the same shape locally and too little the synonymous shaped. All the students used too little synonymous shaped, whole-part relationship and metaphor, but with the improvement of the learning phase, the foreign students’use has gotten gradually closer to the tribe’s. The third chapter, error analysis. In this chapter, we classified the errors in interlanguage discourse into redundancy, deletion, misuse, misapplication. And we found the causes of difference between the foreign students and the Chinese people from four aspects.The forth chapter, make recommendations. In this chapter, we gave some suggestions on textbooks and teaching based on the analysis of the use of nominal anaphora.The fifth chapter, conclusion. We summarized the main conclusions of this study and noted the further study of the issue.
