At present, the academic study of imperial examination of Ming Dynasty isbooming, but the only once imperial examination of Emperor JianWen are rarelyconcerned. Based on the perspective of group study, the author tries to research into theoverview of imperial examination in Emperor JianWen period, the basic information ofJin-Shi(Scholar), the condition of official position and ShiWuCe of DianShi in asystematic way. The imperial examination in JianWen period was held the Battle ofJingNan in the social context, not only to the content of the examination and selectionof talent, but also affects Jin-Shi’s life and career. Look from the structure of Jin-Shi,more than half of them focused on26-31years old stage, indicating that they were theprime of life dominated; the majority of Jin-Shi came from southern region, and Jin-Shifrom JiangXi Province have an outstanding result; the majority of the first officialposition is office clerk and county magistrate, most of Jin-Shi are senior officials of fourto seven level. ShiWuCe of DianShi is a microcosm of the social situation of MingDynasty, not only reflect the integrity of the monarch and the ambition of Jin-Shi, canfully display Jin-Shi’s knowledge and ability. In conclusion, Jin–Shi in EmperorJianWen period have made a significance contribution in political, military, economicand cultural development and progress of the Ming Dynasty, then reflects the positivevalue of the imperial examination system in Ming Dynasty.
