Yangzhou embroidery is one of the important constituent parts of Chinese folk embroidery. Under the influence of the past dynasties in Yangzhou and the edification of Eight Eccentrics of Yangzhou, the cultural connotation and the sentiment of brush and ink in Chinese painting are adhered in the initiation of the fully poetic "antique landscape embroidery" and naturally romantic "freehand ink embroidery". With profound artistic conception, clear picture composition, and elegant and soft colors in the sketch, an elegant, leisure and expressive artistic style is formed.In the endless history of inheritance and development, Yangzhou embroidery preserves and inherits the "original taste and flavor" of the local cultural characteristics, which makes it one of the most representative regional cultures. During the inheritance, the decline, evolution and renaissance, as well as the influence on Yangzhou tourism industry are of extensive and profound significance in enlightening the development of contemporary embroidery.Inheritance is the "soul" in the development and expansion of Yangzhou embroidery, which is a "root" of Yangzhou culture. By means of rigorous data and detailed chart analysis, the author lays an emphasis on the summary and reflection on the morphological characteristics of the inheritance of Yangzhou embroidery. Furthermore, it is highlighted that the development and evolution process of Yangzhou embroidery should be on the premise of maintaining the regional personalization of Yangzhou. Therefore, this paper aims at highlighting that Yangzhou embroidery should comply with the practical situation of regional culture on the basis of inheriting the traditional Yangzhou embroidery. Moreover, the two characteristics of Yangzhou embroidery---"antique" and "ink" should be taken into consideration in developing its tourism products. In addition, emphasizing the local cultural brands of Yangzhou is of great significance to promoting the cultural connotation that "located in the south of the bamboo forest, Huaizuo is a fabulous city with thousand years of history". Also, it makes contributions to developing Yangzhou for "China Yangzhou Flowery March", which is conducive to facilitating Yangzhou embroidery in the re-application of world-class "intangible cultural heritage" This research project explores the inheritance of the eternal spirit of traditional embroidery cultural inheritance in the embroidery industry, summarizes and reflects on the theme, function, mechanism and relevant questions in heritance. The objective is to make traditional embroidery handicraft an important means of promoting Yangzhou regional culture for the time being, so that consumers’approval of "the consanguinity culture" can be reflected in the contemporary embroidery products. Thus, Yangzhou embroidery can be driven to dynamically march forward with the change of times, and Yangzhou folk handicraft can "keep a foothold in China" and "become geared to international standards".
