With the development of China’s economy, more and more international students start to have strong demands on learning of Chinese as a second language. This thesis aims to discuss how the method of developing the sense of Chinese unconsciously impacts students and how this method improves students’interest in learning and the efficiency of teaching.This thesis took a survey on international students on the beginning level by which we can find their common problem in learning Chinese as a second language. In order to solve these problems, I propose some effective ways of develop their sense of Chinese.There are four chapters. The first chapter is to propose the purpose and meaning of this method. The second chapter has a thorough theoretical introduction on the definition, function and features of the sense of Chinese, and the importance of the method as well. The third chapter describes the detailed survey, including the object, content, result and summary of the survey. Common problems are found which provides the practical basis for the method. The fourth chapter discusses effective ways to improve students’ sense of Chinese. The conclusion summarizes the meaning of the method and points out the inadequacy of the research.
