A Study On The Basic Spiritual Identity Of Chinese National Culture By Teenagers

Based on the related research, this article divided the basic spirit of Chinese culture into four types:"Advocating morality ","Emphasis on intelligence","Cherish life","Advocating harmony". On this basis, this article explored the teenagers’recognition of the basic spirit of Chinese culture by text analysis and questionnaire investigation. This article includes three parts:text analysis, questionnaire compiled and formal test.The first study indicted that the teaching content of two versions of textbooks includes four parts:"Advocating morality "," Emphasis on intelligence"," Cherish life" and " Advocating harmony" by analysis the Chinese textbooks and morality textbooks of teenagers.The second study collected items by semi-open questionnaire, then experts identified these items and formed a preliminary questionnaire for the identification of teenagers’ basic spirit of Chinese culture. Based on the results of287subjects, item analysis and exploratory factor analysis indicated that the structure of the questionnaire is good. The results of reliability test and validity test are in accordance with the standard of metrology.The third study choose682subjects to have the questionnaire, the results of confirmatory factor analysis matched with the structure of questionnaire. On this basis, the article analyzed key factors (the difference of gender, schools, textbooks and grades) that affect the teenagers’identification of the basic spirit of Chinese culture.The above researches show that:1.The basic spirit of Chinese culture includes four types:"Advocating morality ""Emphasis on intelligence"," Cherish life" and " Advocating harmony", then specifically classified these as "Emphasis on private morality","Emphasis on public morality","Advocating knowledge","Advocating resourcefulness","Cherish anima","Cherish livelihood","Advocating heaven and people consistency","Advocating interpersonal consistency",and "Advocating mental and physical consistency".2. The questionnaire of teenagers’identification of the basic spirit of Chinese culture has good reliability and validity. It is a suitable tool for measure the teenagers’ identification of the basic spirit of Chinese culture.3. The characteristics of teenagers’identification of the basic spirit of Chinese culture are:teenagers’identification of the basic spirit of Chinese culture is good; gender have no effect on teenagers’identification of the basic spirit of Chinese culture; textbooks have effect on teenagers’identification of the basic spirit of Chinese culture on two dimensions, they are "Emphasis on private morality" and "Advocating resourcefulness"; grades and the location of school have significant effect on teenagers’identification of the basic spirit of Chinese culture.At last, the article advised on how to improve the teenagers’identification of the basic spirit of Chinese culture according to the results.
