Three Kingdoms period in ancient China, Cao Cao is an outstanding statesman, military strategist and writer. His name "unrighteous hero in chaotic times " handed down to posterity and it is known even for women and children. He obtained great achievements (Cao,the founder of Wei Kingdom-the strongest and most prosperous state during the Three Kingdoms period) all his life. But people’s assessments of him are different, even in a great controversy. Such a influential historical figures he is, his every move before his death affect the history of the Three Kingdoms, after his death his mausoleum is also the focus of people’s attentions. According to legend, the tomb of Cao Cao was protected by72decoys to keep its whereabouts secret. Historical records also did not elaborate, therefore the tomb of Cao Cao is long been a disturbing mystery. In December2009, Henan Province Cultural Relics Bureau announced that Cao Cao’s tomb was discovered in Xigaoxue Village of Anyang City in central China’s Henan Province. Once the news came out, it quickly attracted the attention of people at home and abroad. The grand arguably was unprecedented. Surprisingly, quite a few people and experts questioned the so-called findings that caused the authenticity of great debate. The entire public opinion. People was divided into a "very Cao faction" and "inverted Cao faction" two camps.Since the discovery of" Cao Cao’s tomb" has been announced,it is no doubt that the overall impact of this event will be enormous in the field of cultural life. While the event itself is merely an academic question, due to widespread public attention, it is not only a academic but also a social event. This paper analyzes and studies on a series of phenomena caused by "Tomb of Cao Cao " incident. Thinking about how should archaeological discoveries be publicize? How should the knowledge of archeology be popularize? How to deal with doubts of the public, as well as how to correctly guide their cultural values. The purpose of this paper is to provide a useful reference for future similar archaeological discoveries.
