Jiangsu Province 's Local Novels In The New Century In The View Of Multi - Regional Culture

Research literature from the geographical and cultural perspective, is an old but new topic. This paper is a study of Jiangsu local novels of21st century, which focus on the relationship between Jiangsu writers’ local novels and three kinds of regional culture, those are Wu culture, Jianghuai culture and Chu-han culture. Jiangsu Province has a long history and profound cultural tradition since ancient times. Due to the differences in the Huai River and Yangtze River as geographic barriers, topography climate, as well as the cultural heritage and accumulate, it forms a north-south geographical and cultural heterogeneity. Jianghuai district is a vast region between the north and south poles of Jiangsu Province, and it takes the North-South cultural characteristics. As a result, Jianghuai district has formed a unique regional culture.The first chapter of this paper discusses Suzhou writers’local novels, which rooted in the social spectacles, the spirit and the religious of Wu culture. The second chapter is based on the identity of Jianghuai cultural, and this chapter will analyse Jianghuai cultural characteristics, Jianghuai folkway and characters, as well as regional aesthetic choices.The third chapter focuses on the Chu-han culture, with the study of Zhao Benfu and Xu Zechen. The analysis focuses on the writers’writing style, and place an emphasis on allegorical narrative. The last chapter evaluates the impact of regional culture and poetic tradition on the local novels of Jiangsu Province, that is inheriting the traditional and developing the new qualities. To some extent, the influence of regional culture on Jiangsu local novels of21st century is and would be far-reaching.
