For a long time, complement occupies an important position in teaching Chinese as a foreign language, As Chinese used in the highest frequency complement, the directional complement is one of the emphasis and difficulty of teaching. Compound directional complement is more one of the difficulties. Directional complement is one of difficulties in foreign students studying Chinese. On one hand, in many languages there is no this grammatical items at all, but in Chinese compound directional complement have flexible structure and complex table righteousness. On the other hand, there are teaching material, teaching and many other factors. The foreign students in the learning and using directional complement often feel difficult. So to analyze foreign students’ errors in using directional complement, not only can suit the remedy to the case, to help students acquire directional complement; But also can further improve our understanding of the existing system of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.This paper based on corpus statistics, on the basis of the theory of language acquisition theory and the analysis of errors, analyses the effect of foreign students learn Chinese directional complement, analyzed the errors made by foreign students, inductive types of errors and starting from compound directional complement body, look for the causes of errors. In addition, according to the type of error, put forward different teaching strategies, intends to reduce the errors students have in learning compound directional complement, provide a more scientific forecast for the future teaching.
