A Study Of "Historiography" And Its Historical Thought

BuDayou, comes from Xiushui(now jiaxing), Zhejiang.He styled himselfQianfu and Haoyiquan.He was supposed to be a historian,with the history book "Thehistorical essence",which inincluded five volumes,four roll of the bady and fillingroll of one."The historical essence" was the first book of compilation ofhistoriography theory in ancient China. It ampiled the achievement of historiographyof the generations of hiatorians from the WesternHanDynasty to Ming. Besides,itanstructed the basic sequence of the historical thoughts in ancient China,thus,whichwas deemed to be a key to the historical research.But as a result of the narrow circleof spreading,this book was ignored foe long time with little specialized researchers.Inview of this,this dissertation mainly involves the historical thought of this book.Ihope my paper can benefit the academic research of BuDayou and his historicalthought.This paper is divided into four parts:the first chapter of the series is ancerningabout BuDayou’s life and works,at the same time,the summary of a sense of publemsof the ampletion reason,man antenta,the select and compile standard and objectivewas roughly carding in order to be able to grasp and understand the hiatorical thoughtof this book.I am to comprehensively reveal the thought of hiatoriography in thesecond chapter,which touches upon the analysis of the three aspects:thehistoriography thought and methods,the drawn inrighteousness and biography and thechronicle of the pros and cons.The third chapter focuses on the analysis of thecriticing thrrnking about historiography.I descript this chapter from four parts:therelationship between historiography and the function and training theory ofhistoriography,and the principles and methods of the historical crotocism.I try to putimportance on the historiography status of"The historical essence"in the fourthchapter,at the same time, I must point out the limition of this book.
