Effect Of Tongxinluo Capsule On Blood Uric Acid Level In Patients With Carotid Atherosclerosis And Hyperuricemia

Objective:To observe the clinical effects of Tonxinluo capsule on UA level in patients with CAS and hyperuricemia.Material and method:A total of 70 patients with CAS and HUA,elected from April 2015 to September 2015,at outpatient department of Cardiology in the People’s Hospital of Liaoning Province,were randomly assigned to a treatment group(Tonxinluo group,n=35)and a control group(placebo group,n=35).They were treated for 3 months with Tonxinluo capsule or placebo,along with basic treatment which include diet、simvastatin、smoking cessation、reducing blood glucose and blood pressure. The changes of UA level and blood fats level(TG、TC、LDL-C、HDL-C) were deal for statistical treatment after 3-months treatment.Results: 1.General information:There were no significant difference in the condition of gender、age and past medical history between treatment group and control group. 2.Effect:There were no significant difference in the level of UA、TG、TC、LDL-C and HDL-C between treatment group and control group before the treatment(P>0.05). The UA level of treatment group were significantly decreased after the treatment(P<0.01).The UA level of control group were insignificantly decreased after the treatment(P>0.05).The UA level of treatment group were below that of control group after treatment, and the decrease of UA were significant between two group after the treatment(P<0.05).There were significantly decreased in the level of TG、TC and LDL-C both of treatment group and control group after the treatment(P<0.05), and treatment group showed more significant decrease contrary to control group in the level of TG、TC and LDL-C after the treatment(P<0.05).There were insignificantly increased in the level of HDL-C both of treatment group and control group after the treatment(P>0.05), and there were insignificantly difference in the level of HDL-C between two groups after the treatment(P>0.05).Conclusion: 1. Tonxinluo capsule is safe and effective in lowering the UA level of the patients with CAS and hyperuricemia. 2.Tonxinluo capsule combined with simvastatin is better than single simvastatin in adjusting the lipid metabolism.
