Meta - Analysis Of The Therapeutic Effect Of Traditional Chinese Medicine On Diarrhea - Predominant Irritable Bowel Syndrome

Purpose:To evaluate the traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of diarrhea predominant irritable bowel syndrome,to provide basis for clinical treatment,and to popularize the clinical application of traditional Chinese Medicine.Method:According to the method of evidence-based medicine,many periodical databases were retrieved,and the quality score was finished according to the Jadad score. The results of Meta analysis were obtained by using Rev Man5.3 software.Results:1.The literature screening results:we have selected 24 Chinese articles about randomized controlled trials.Including 2477 patients,1255 in the treatment groups and,1198 in the control groups,and 24 patients withdrew from treatment process.2.Meta analysis results:(1)The traditional Chinese medicine treatment of diarrhea irritable bowel syndrome has good curative effect,OR=3.48,95%CI[2.73,4.43],the difference is statistically significant(P<0.01).(2)Shuganjianpi method contrast with Western medicine in the treatment of diarrhea type irritable bowel syndrome has good curative effect OR=3.65,95%CI[2.29,5.82],the difference is statistically significant(P < 0.01).(3)Wenshenjianpi method compared with Western medicine treatment of diarrhea predominant irritable bowel syndrome has good curative effect,OR=6.34,95%CI[3.38,11.90],the difference is statistically significant(P<0.01).(4)Chinese medicine in improving the diarrhea type irritable bowel syndrome symptoms than western medicine more effective, SMD=-0.95,95%CI[-1.43,-0.48],the difference is statistically significant(P < 0.01).(5)The comparison of traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine can reduce diarrhea type irritable bowel syndrome recurrence rate,OR=0.33,95%CI[0.17,0.62],the difference is statistically significant(P < 0.01).Conclusions:1.Comparison of traditional Chinese medicine and Western medicine treatment of diarrhea predominant irritable bowel syndrome,can improve the total effective rate,improve the symptoms,reduce the recurrence rate.2.Shuganjianpi method and Wenshenjianpi method in treating diarrhea type irritable bowel syndrome using a frequency,the effect is good,from the liver,spleen and kidney three dirty syndrome differentiation and treatment of diarrhea type irritable bowel syndrome.3.Traditional Chinese medicine treatment of diarrhea type irritable bowel syndrome has a high clinical value,but still need to be combined with large sample randomized trials and evidence based medicine,in order to find better drugs,to treat diarrhea type irritable bowel syndrome.
