Professor Shang Xianmin 's Experience In Treating Rheumatoid Arthritis

Objective:To objectively evaluate Professor Xian-Min Shang the treatment of RA efficacy by applying Chinese medicine dialectically,and on this basis,through data mining techniques, summarize the experience,prescription rules and academic thought of Professor Shang in the treatment of RA,for providing reference and experience of clinical treatment and scientific research of RA and promoting the clinical experience and heritage of experts.Methods:1.Efficacy evaluation:collecting the clinical data of 30 patientsdiagnosed with RA in the outpatient of Professor Xian-Min Shang from October 2014 to November 2015.Evaluating joint core symptoms,disease activity scores (DAS28) and serum ESR,CRP,RF level respectively after the initial time of diagnosis and treatment for 2 months.The obtained results were analyzed by SPSS software tocomprehensive assess the efficacy of traditional Chinese medicineprescribed by Professor Shang.2.Prescription regularity and experience:On the basis of efficacy evaluation,inputting the clinical data of 60 patients diagnosed with RA and 90 corresponding full prescriptions from October 2014 to January 2016 in traditional Chinese medicine inheritance auxiliary system(V2.5)and establishing the database of RA.Ninety prescriptions for treating RA of professor Shang were selected and analyzed by using a variety of data mining methods such as drug frequency of usage statistics,analysis based on association rules,improved mutual information method,complex system entropy clustering and unsupervised hierarchical clustering entropy.Results:1. After two months of traditional Chinese medicine treatment,patients with joint core symptoms total score and there was a significant difference (P<0.01) compared with before treatment.Wherein relieving joint swelling,improving joint range of motion (P<0.01)and reducing joint pain and the duration of morning stiffness(P<0.05) have effect,while relieving joint tenderness had no significant effect (P> 0.05). Improving disease activityscores (DAS28) was statistically significant (P<0.01). ESR serum levels before and after treatment difference was statistically significant (P<0.05); CRP levels due to the limitations of clinical data has not been analyzed statistically,about 73.3% of patients with serum CRP levels showed some decline trend. RF-positive rate of changes in serum before and after treatment no significant difference (P> 0.05).2.Be assessed from the overall effect of the disease,the total effective rate of professor Shang was 76.7% and according to EULAR criteria,the total effective rate was 43.3%.3.Drug frequency of usage and association rules of professor Shang’s prescriptions for treating RA were cleared. thirty-seven core combinations and seven new prescriptions were mined out.Conclusion:The efficacy of professor Shang dialectically using traditional Chinese medicine to treatRA is worthy of recognition and the treatment methods is worthy of further promotion and application.
