Objective:To discuss the efficacy of paediatric massage special acupoints and techniques in the treatment and prevention of myopia in children.Methodology:251 first grade students were selected as research participants and given training on massage techniques. After they had met the standard, they carried out massage independently, once a day for a period of 20 months. Comparison between pre-treatment and post-treatment uncorrected visual acuity, corneal curvature and optical axial length were used as observation indexes. Results:Group with myopia:After treatment, binocular uncorrected visual acuity increased significantly(p<0.05), binocular corneal curvature decreased significantly (p<0.05) while binocular optical axial length did not vary significantly (p>0.05). Group with normal vision: After treatment, binocular uncorrected visual acuity did not vary significantly(p>0.05). |
