With the stronger thirst for further oil field exploration, people have more problems in various difficult reserves development to solve. To meet this requirement, the Electric Submersible Progress Cavity Pump (ESPCP) technology is applied to the oil industry. Combining the advantages of the Progress Cavity Pump with the Electric Submersible Pump, ESPCP is especially suitable for those oil extraction in deep well, slant well and horizontal well. And it can be used for extracting heavy oil, sandy oil and high gas-oil ratio oil. Recently the fast development in the frequency conversion technology and communication technology makes ESPCP more high-efficient.In the dissertation the author firstly analyzes the characteristics of ESPCP, then studies the control strategy of Permanent Synchronous Motor (PSM). The motor of ESPCP is controlled employing frequency conversion technology. At the same time the various parameters under the well are sampled and feedbacked as the controlling variables of the control system. According to the actual environmental conditions, the resultant operation frequency is decided and a real automatic control scheme for ESPCP oil extraction system is realized. In the part of frequency conversion speed control, an inverter control system is designed which uses a motor-dedicated IC chip 87C196MC and a smart high-powered module manufactured by Intel Corporation. The design of system hardware circuits and the software design are finished. In the part of acquisition and feedback of parameters under the well, the author designs correspondent software and hardware circuits based on the SSC P485 (electric line carrier frequency-spreading communication chip) and SSC P111 (output amplifier chip) of Intellon Corporation. The design enables data from the well to be feedbacked safely despite of strong interference.
