The Study On Model Library In Directing Decision Support System

Decision Support System (DSS) has become a newly developed information system since 1970's, which is based on Management Information System (MIS). It's primary function is to help those middle or high-level decision makers engaged in management to solve the complicated system problems resulting from the poorly-organized structure. During the process of decision support, Model Library together with its management system has played a decisive role and is considered as the core and the chief characteristics of DSS differentiating from other information systems. In recent years, with the flourishing of computer and information technology, Model Library has experienced a rapid development both in theory and practice. The author of this article has illustrated the application of DSS to military affairs, that is, directing Decision Support System. Meanwhile, he has given a detailed study and design to the Modal Library of the system.Firstly, the article presented the system structure of DSSincluding the organization of its components and explained the definition of the model, its usages, expression, classification as well as its construction principle and operation. In addition, the author introduced the concept of Model Library and its expression mode; discussed the characteristics, basic concepts and design facing its objects, based on which, an exhaustive and deep analysis has been conducted on the design of Database Model Library in directing DSS. Finally, the author revealed the management system of the Model Library and its functions.
