| The equipment of time keeping system at the National Time Service Center (NTSC), the Chinese Academy of Science, has been ameliorated very much since 2004. With the development of computer and hardware interface, it becomes an inevitable trend to monitor and control the time keeping system automatically. In this paper, the main content is about the steering method of UTC(NTSC) and the design of its software.It is important for NTSC to keep the accurate and independent standard time, UTC(NTSC), because it is the national standard time of China. For the steering of UTC(NTSC), a reference time scale is necessary, but any time laboratory in the world can not get the real time difference between UTC and UTC(K), so UTC can not be used as a real time reference of steering UTC(NTSC). Therefore the method for calculating the real time reference time scale according to the local atomic clocks and that of controlling the steering of UTC(NTSC) are the two key aspects. That is to say how to get the stable TA(NTSC) becomes one of the key problems to this object.In this paper, the following points are expounded and discussed:1. The control theory and how to use it is expounded at first.2. The main algorithms of atomic time scale which are being used in different time laboratories in the world are compared.3. The UTC-UTC(K) of the main time laboratories in the world , NTSC included, are shown.4. A practical algorithm of TA(NTSC) which will be taken as a reference time scale used to steering UTC(NTSC) is presented and analyzesed .5. The commands of the micro phase steppers (AOG-110 and HROG-10) are compared.6. The software for calculating TA(NTSC) and steering UTC(NTSC) has been developed. The details of the program are showed in the end of this paper.In order to expand and transplant the program easily, the key parts of the software are developed as functions. |
