Research On Embedded Remote Measure And Control Communication System Based On Internet

A scheme of remote measure and control communication system based on Internet by the use of embedded system, aiming at the application characteristic of Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) these days and the development of remote measure technology, combining with the Internet technic and embedded system, is demonstrate in this paper. This scheme full utilized the technology advantage and development resource of embedded system, chooses 32 bit low power ARM920T-based microcontroller AT91RM9200 as the kernel of hardware system, and chooses embedded RTOS Linux as the software platform. This system can sampling, processing, storing data coming from multi-monitor and control them at real time through RS-485 bus. Making use of Internet as the transporting media, it can long-distance transfer the data sampled to the monitor center at real time, or store them at the memory for concentrate transport. Further more, it realizes exchange command between the monitor center as well. This system accesses the Internet by traditional ethernet and GPRS communication methods, it can not only provide some control output ports to carry out some controlling actions, such as alarming, indicate, etc, but also process some controlled port to receive command signal from personnel. The remote measure and control system based on Internet, adopting embedded system platform, accessing the Internet by lineate or radio method, will not only save the cost of invest and maintenance, so as to ensure the flexibility, real-time characteristic and reliability of data and control information, but also enhance the expansibility, transplantability of the system. therefore, it has important research significance and widest application prospect.
