Application system based on Web has more advantages than traditional ones because Web owns large number of users. With the popularization of Internet, Information System becomes more and more complicated. It is significant to develop complicated Web application system to m eet the demand of information deveopment with great efficiency.The paper introduces the process of UML development, describes 5 category 9 kinds model views. And it determines the developing technologies by comparing the structures of Web appilcations, security and developing technologies.UML technology is a great achievement in software engineering field, and it is applied to many other fields. But it is in the beginning to use UML for Web modeling. For a Web application system, there are many special elements and many of them are produced dynamically. It is difficult to take the dynamic contents and Web pages into system model. We need to extend the models of UML to describe the system.Java technology has become the main Web developing technology because its platform independence, h igh flexibility and Web-supporting. It can separate the application presentation from business logic, which increases the system extensibility, shorten developing period and promote the efficiency. In the paper, we use JSP technology, extend the models of UML and adopt OOA (Object Oriented Analysis) and OOD (Object O riented D esign) to model t he i nforamtion n etwork for C hina agricultural machinery equipments, which dislays the process of requirements analysis, design and deploy.Three-tier architecture (B/S/S) is used in the system. We utilize middleware to access to database, produce dynamic pages to provide convenience for updating and maintance, increase the system security and interaction and realize information sharing,.In the developing process, we construct the conception modeling using requirements analysis, OOA and OOD, and then complete the system deploy. And developer will understand the system architecture easily and decrease the risk. A small developing team enviroment is built, and the Visual SourceSafe as version control system and Ant for daily building based on JSP technology are realized.UML and Java technology is used to state science and technology project to develop inforamtion network for China agricultural machinery equipments, which covers 14 kinds products, related enterprise information, laws and rules, technologies and patent, and provides a platform for information sharing.
