Study Of The XML-Based Tranformation Technology Of PIM To PSM In MDA

MDA is a software development framework defined by OMG. MDA can improve the software development efficiency. It also can enhance software's portability, serviceability and cooperation ability. In MDA, model plays an important role in the software development process. From the high abstraction level system model to the PSM, and to the code, all the transformations are realized by tool. The automatization of the transformation is MDA's main character. At present, MDA has many problems to be resolved, in which the problem of automatic transformation of PIM to PSM is the most important one to be resolved.The paper does some research on the transformation method of PIM to PSM in MDA. First of all, the paper introduces the main idea of MDA, and put forward some problem in the development process of MDA. Through the study of MDA's technology, the paper gives a method to describe XML-based PIM, and gives the relevant XML Schema to verify the XML document described by the method. Then, the paper introduces the transformation idea by a case of EJB platform model. Through analysis the technology character of EJB, the paper gives the mapping rule from PIM to PSM. According to the mapping rule, the PIM described with XML can be transformed into EJB-based PSM described with XML.
