The traditional CBI based on the individual learning only involves the interaction between the single learner and the single computer. But following with the rapid development of network and communication technology and the wide use of Internet and WWW in educational field, more and more people focus on all kinds of online learning supported by the computer network. The network brings new sight and idea to the education. During the learner with different cultural background inquire through the network, there exists strong cultural conflict. This conflict sets a higher and quicker demand on the cross-cultural use research of learning software.The portability is an important characteristic and a valuable property to the software. It can promote the value of the software bag through prolonging the life cycle and extending the use range. The portability of learning software can fulfill the feasibility of different software used in different learning environments. The portability is a valuable characteristic to the learning software, as it contributes to economical use of CBI, promotes the sharing of learning experience and intelligent resources, improves the adaptability of pluralistic culture, and fulfills the educational entirety.How to create a real cross-cultural learning system and support the learner with different cultural background to learn effectively, becomes a hot area in education.
