The Research Of Compression Algorithm For Medical Image

This paper introduces the algorithm of both DPCM and Integer Wavelet Transform (IWT) based on medical image processing system.It propose a new way of solving the problem of low compression ratio of the medical image .This paper discusses various kinds of loss and lossless compression algorithm which applied in medical image now and introduce the construction and feature of this system.Then,the hardware and software of this medical image processing system have been described in detail.In addition,the result is given on how to capture the video based on VFW,how to play the video based on MCI,how to operate the image based on DIB.finally,Wavelet transform theory,Lifting Wavelet and Integer Wavelet is analysed and the algorithm of both DPCM and IWT is given.On contrast to other typical algorithms,this algorithm have much priority and it has practical mean to reduce the storage for hospitals.
