| As Chinese broadcast and television industry develops dramatically in recent years, especially after the launching of News Channel on CCTV (Chinese Central Television), Chinese audiences are showing more and more attention to news anchors on TV. Not only a large variety of news programs have been created, but a group of highly competent news anchors emerged during this period.Besides the cognitive need of the information conveyed through news programs, the aesthetic need of the audience should also be taken into consideration by news producers and anchors. The present thesis tries to view the aesthetic function of news and find access to accelerate the aesthetic taste of news program. Based on an analysis of Aesthetics of Reception, the thesis will mainly focus on the aesthetic characteristics of TV news programs with host, current problems and aesthetic collisions existed in present news programs, and how to deal with these problems.The current paper aims to illustrate the aesthetic value of TV news program with host by analyzing the aesthetic functions of the news programs on TV, so as to find way to improve the aesthetic taste of TV news program with host.
