Remote Video Surveillance System Based On Internet

After surveying and forecasting the development of global and China security surveillance market, this project try to develop a convenient remote video surveillance system, that can adapted with lower bandwidth, lower transmit delay and mostly Mac OS without rebuilding. To satisfy these characters, Browser/Server structure is adopted, Real-time Transport Protocol and high ratio video compress arithmetic are used too, and all of them are realized with Java to assure the system can work well on different Mac OS. Test report indicates that the system can work well on mainly Mac OS, even when server and client running on different Mac OS. Lower bandwidth is needed. The transmit delay is tiny. Owing to Browser/Server structure, clients can download and run surveillance Java applet, without preinstalling the software.
