Research On XML-Oriented Search Engine

Today, Internet has already become an information bank that has most resource, most kinds and largest scale since the down of human civilization already. Search engine is very important. However, it is very difficult that user obtain information rapidly and exactly. The most of traditional search engine are base on HTML.Now, Another extendable language XML grow up slowly. The great mass of information on the Web will be described, stored and expressed with XML document. The tag of XML is abundant, search engine can find information rely on the relationship of tag and content, and so enhance the accuracy of search engine. Under this developing background, we try to research on XML-oriented search engine.First, we design the framework of the new search engine, it comprises robot module, switch module, parse module, index module and query module.Second, we introduce how to implement index module. The index module contains a constructor for structure of node and indexer. We design index for structure and content of XML document and specify the method of index.Finally, we recommend the query module of search engine. Cooperate with the index that had created, we provide a navigation on the user interface and show users the structure of document, then lead users find their needs. It embodies the advantage of the combination of XML and search engine.
