The thesis first analyzes the development trend of search engine market and WAP market in detail and thereafter combines these two of great research value to propose a kind of practical application with much market potential. There are some problems coming up with data accumulated in the tests of searching capacity of open source search engine, Lucene and in process of re-utilization. The thesis probes into these problems and solves two key problems: how to snatch WAP network and how to transform document format of HTML into WML and compares different methods of transformation. The thesis also introduces techniques of searching colorful wallpapers and CRBT in detail. Based on research and analysis, the thesis develops a wireless search engine with relevant searching service through visiting WAP net. Besides, the thesis gives a detailed analysis and description of the future development of WAP search engine and the direction for the next stage of work.
