Presently, china already has formulated certain spatial data products merit rating standards. In some content, there are lots of problems on establishing merit rating partial in the spatial data, But means and method that appraise to depend on experience and qualitative analysis also, lack tight theoretical foundation and accurate quantitative statistical analysis and calculation, therefore how to carry on space data quality overall, accuracy, quality and appraisal are an important subject waited to solve face data producer and user.This thesis has on the basis of analyzing spatial data quality level, the quality model characteristic of the data, various kinds of norms, detailed rules and regulations, have studied and discussed the spatial data quality testing, technology, means and method to appraise and control, have conducted the research and discussed of the more comprehensive system from theorily to practly. The main contend including:(1) It outlined the spatial database development and its the research background (2) The quality problem of analyzing GIS space data is collection, treatment and data error problem using the course, producing anddisplaying of following the data, mainly including source error, the error of measuring and spread error, etc. (3) Have explained the understanding of space data quality basic conception, and appraised GIS space data quality content involved in a great deal of more domestic standards on this basis, on the basis of three-dimensional characteristic of data quality of space, the expression of considering our country according to the international standard reference, propose a set of datum quality elements of space suitable for consulting and sub element, it should be in the precision of position that thought, such respects as the integrality , logic consistency , relation exactness , exactness of the name of the place of the precision of attribute , data ,etc. are appraised to space data quality.
