Research And Application Of Component Technology On MIS Development

With the rapid development and increasing scale of Management Information System (MIS) , how to control the cost of time and money efficiently and improve the quality of software becomes more and more important. Component provides us with a useful approach to solve the problems by means of its reliability, maintainability and adaptation.Generally components have certain functions and are developed for reuse and the service for other parts in the system. And it plays the big role in software reuse.It concludes the general process and the model of the component development in this article. Meanwhile it presents the management of component base and emphasizes its great influence on the development of component. And component base is regarded as a very important method to manage components and improve the reuse efficiency.Besides, this article makes a careful research on the process and the principles of MIS which bases on component, and analyses the approach of design. When we develop MIS by using components, OOA/OOD and software architecture are necessary. When the architecture of system is ascertained, we can choose or develop components to implement the system and then put the new components into the component base for reuse. Using the concepts of software architecture, it achieves the description of the whole system.Finally, the technology of component is used in the development of the Library MIS.
