The earphone is one of the most popular products in the multimedia area. Traditionally, the earphone is connected to the media player with wires so that people could not move with it freely. With the development of technology and improvement of living condition, the requirement for earphone is also increasing. The bluetooth earphone can get rid of wire which satisfys the requirement; however, the earphone in the present market cannot achieve this with high quality voice. Due to this reason, this paper makes a research and provides a reasonable solution for the problems of the bluetooth earphone.Firstly the article studies the key techniques and the corresponding standards of each part of the system which applys bluetooth as the communication standard. And then the characteristics of bluetooth technology and the structure of bluetooth protocol stack are introduced. Bluetooth technology can support the MP3 format to carry the data and the article analyzes the MP3 frame format in detail. IIS is the data transformation standard between CPU and CODEC and the article also provides the content related. Based on these standards, the article discusses the performance that the system should achieve, then designs the hardware system and the required software. The software mainly includes the operation system' s selection, porting and configure, MP3 decoding software' s porting and interface definition and application software. Finally, the article analyzes the problems of the current system and certain aspects that need to be improved on in the future.
