A novel camera system with CCD sensitization device, which can work between in day or at night is the development direction of the new generation TV monitoring system. But now the research on new device and new technology is too few to guide applying and designing this novel system. So, by studying the novel night-time vision system which is Confocused in Broad Spectral Band, we hope to offer some valuable results for same species of design of this kind of system.In this thesis, the author presents 4 research contents of the novel night vision system. Separately: 1). On the basis of conforming observation level for monitoring, we deduced the detectable-distance formula applied to CCD camera night-time vision system by combining Coltman's formula. We also revised this detectable-distance formula for infrared illuminated condition at night. 2). By measuring three kinds objects' reflection ratios in infrared band, we offer actual reflection coefficient for applying the detectable-distance formula. 3). In this part, author discuss some improvement of near infrared LED for which can be used as the remote lighting light source, and offer two reference collimation optical system model in thesis. 4). This content presented the design of Confocused Video Camera Lens with Broad Spectral Band. The characteristics of the designed lens is confocal in NIR band and visible band, so we can get equally both images on the same image plane without focusing regardless of in day or at low illuminated night, the product we designed will be low cost compared the foreign similar products.
