Study Of The Internet Topology

The Internet has experienced a tremendous growth in its size and complexity since its commercialization. Though the function nature of the Internet and its control mechanisms have been studied extensively, a fascination area of study which is not as well understood is the internet topology research.In this paper, we make a large numbers of investigations and classify the internet topology research into three types: Internet topology data collection, Internet topology characteristics, Internet topology modeling and Internet topology ASes relationship. Here, we analyze and discuss their research ways and research findings for each types.We study and characterize the topology of the internet at the AS in depth. First, we introduce some new metric of network topology. Second we show that the Internet topology of ASes relationships can be descried efficiently with power laws. Finally we present a novel policy to characterize Internet hierarchy.We even devleope a tool of analyzing and visualizing the internet ASes relationships. In this part, we introduce our topology visualization tools in the structure of the tool, the principle, procedure of the data and function.
