Automatic recognition of remote sensing image is a great challenge in the field such as remote sensing, computer vision, pattern recognition and so on. As important information and basic character, texture has significant meaning in image recognition of remote sensing. How to synthetically analyze remote sensing image and to increase remote sensing image recognition precision not only is important in recognition mechanism, but also is valuable in the whole remote sensing field. First of all, the paper introduces correlative knowledge and study actuality of image texture. In-depth anatomy towards analytic methods of image texture and analytic methods and study actuality of image texture analysis, combined with texture character of remote sensing image , the paper brings forward a new image recognition method of remote sensing which combines co-occurrence matrix with t test in statistics,and emphasizes on the theory, the algorithm, and the realization of the method in object recognition of remote sensing image. The result of experiment indicates that the method has good recognition effect on remote sensing image. Besides applied in remote sensing image, texture recognition can be made full use of in medical image, chronometer image, micrograph image and so on. The object information of remote sensing image is served as study object in the method designed and established in the paper. Relative essential theory,algorithm is also the same with recognition of other image. It can be conveniently applied in the latter by supplying a small quantity of parameter and knowledge.
