| As one of the most primary units in the low-voltage electric system, network communication of breakers is very important to realization of low-voltage electric systems.Fieldbus is the most advanced technology for realizing breaker's network communication.The key technique is to develop an adapter for the communication between fieldbus and breaker. DeviceNet is one of the most important fieldbus techniques, which is the first one set as the national standard in China.To solve the network communication problem of breaker in fieldbus, this paper gives a deeply research on the application of fieldbus and breaker, through which, the break-fieldbus-adapter has been successfully developed. The design and realization method has passed system test;and the model system has been developed and applied in production.At first, this paper demonstrates the fieldbus technology, fieldbus's application in breaker, the research level and developing trend of DeviceNet; summarizes the characters, net, device and consistency of DeviceNet. Second, gives the design and realization method of the hardware circuit for the breaker-fieldbus-adapter. The main controller adopted in the hardware circuit is a 16 bits singlechip M16C1N, which is used to realizing the control function of the whole hardware circuit and founding the DeviceNet's application protocol. Third, gives the design and realization method of the software for the communication adapter, including develop the object models of DeviceNet, realization of the communication, send and receiv the message of DeviceNet. The realization of sending and receiving the information longer than 8 bytes.
