Research For The CBD-Based Software Testing Method

With software reuse being the important aim of software engineering, people wish to use higher efficiency software design and development methods. These methods will reduce development expenses and improve produce efficiency. So component-based software engineering (CBSE) or component-based development (CBD) comes forth and will be a new direction of software development. In latest decades the CBD design methods continuously grown up and popularize largely. CBD method has more advantages as a result of the component characteristic, but it also brings a series of problems of analyze, development, implement, test and maintenance. Software test is a traditional, direct and effective method in numerous software quality assurance technologies. So here we care the test of CBD software. The new development idea of software engineering arose more challenge to traditional testing technology. We need new test technology and method to be fit for the component characteristic and guarantee the quality and security of CBD software.This paper researches the method and feature of CBD, analyses the component test and component-based software test from two points of view as the providers of software component and the users of software component. The paper presents the testing type of CBD software, and attentions the integration test of CBD software. We present an approach to analyzing and testing component-based systems. Our method uses the specification and test information of component from component provider and model document in systems analyzing and designing phase to model the component architecture, get the physical dependence relationships among systems component.
