The production of intelligent buildings is due to the fast development of modern city residence, it delegate the intending development of city residence. The intelligent buildings use the modern 4C technology (viz. computer, automatic control, communication and network, IC card) and an effective transport network to build a integrate service and management system, which composed of safe precaution, compositive information service, estate management center, house intelligent system. Recently the buildings development area of out country approximated 4 hundred millions m2, intelligent buildings is the new economic point of growth among it. So it will have an expansive development prospect to develop a building intelligent system that adapt to our frondose national conditions. Base on this starting point, the paper develops an observation and control system of intelligent building. The building intelligent system relates to many contents, it can be classified into two types: building common establishment subsystem and house individual establishment subsystem according to the object angle. The paper is aimed at the devise of house individual establishment subsystem, and carries through the observation and control of individual house by field-bus. Nowadays, the LonWorks bus provided by Echelon Company has been the best choice between the field-bus in intelligent buildings area. The LonWorks Bus has many related production, perfect basal structure tool and support; the total system expenditure is very economical, so that the LonWorks is becoming the main technology of the paper. The paper begins with the device of a general intelligent control node, which can realize the observation and control on the individual house establishment. The node is composed of a Neuron chip flash module TP/FT-10F and a MCU MSP430F149. TP/FT-10F can be regarded as a network interface to resolve the communication between MCU and LonWorks network. MSP430F149 accomplishes the data collection and control on field establishment. The communication between TP/FT-10F and MSP430F149 is resolved by ShortStack technology recently provided by Echelon Company. The node developed works steadily, has a high cost performance and portability. The whole observation and control system distributes each house a node, and then the nodes are connected to the LonWorks network, and monitored by upper computer in unison. Using the developed node can realize the observation and control on the three modules: safe precaution module, auto check meter module, and intelligent control module of filed establishment, and can update the network variables to network. In order to conveniently realize the observation and control on field data, use DDE Server to constitute upper-layer observation and control application, realize the system observation, control, management, protect and information communication with other computer systems. The observation and control on system can be divided into two types: upper computer observation and control, it use the intelligent building management computer installed with configuration software to observe and control safe precaution and check meter signals of each house; remote observation and control, it use web server to realize remote real-time observation and control through Internet based on upper computer observation and control.
