With the increase in complexity of manufacture technics and demands of industrial process performance, the conventional control based on process mathematical model sometimes can not meet the requirement of closed loop optimized control.Intelligent control independent of model of a plant and based on knowledge offers a new idea for improving the process control quality, of which Fuzzy control is the most active and fruitful field. Fuzzy PID control is one of the main techniques in research and application due to the dominant place of PID types control in industrial process control recently.If the controller which has better performance and is wieldy like PID can be found, there will be significance in both theory and practice.In this article, several fuzzy PID controllers' (including the Fuzzy Gain Scheduling Controller—FGSC, Fuzzy-PI Controller, and Fuzzy Switched Fuzzy PID Controller—FSFC ) capability of following set-point, restraining disturbs and fitting changes on process model are studied by simulation in order to show their characteristic and applicability.Aiming at the problem of FGSC's bad ability to resist disturbances, a kind of fuzzy set-point weighting controller—FSWC is proposed in this article. As to Fuzzy PID Controller, the principle to design its fuzzy PD controller and the rule to select initial value of its integral parameter are concluded through simulation experience. In addition a method of adjusting the output scaling factor on-line by fuzzy rules is used to optimize FSFC.In the end, the proposed FSWC is applied to control the calcinations part temperature of the limekiln of Hefei Steel Company. The fuzzy PID control is proved to be effective by simulation and realized using ANSI C language in WinCC.
