Workflow technology has been widely adopted in enterprise application integration. The emerging Web Service technologies have revolutionized the way E-Business is being conducted. As the result of development from the realm of Internet and cross-organizational collaboration, workflow technology must be combined with Web Service technology. Service-Oriented Workflow System introduces the concept of "Service" into traditional workflow model, thus leading to a layered structure of the model that facilitates modification of various parts of the workflow and late binding of resources. With the introduction of Web Service technology into Workflow System, many technical challenges present themselves, for instance, how to integrate Web Services into current framework of the system, how to invoke application resources that bind to Web Services, and how to monitor Service-Oriented Workflow System. This paper discusses design and implementation of service integration framework of ONCEPI and monitoring of Service-Oriented system. This paper covers the following issues: 1) Design and implementation of USIF, a Universal Service Invocation Framework. 2) Integration of USIF and ONCEPI. 3) Monitoring of Service-Oriented Workflow System. In the first place, this paper analyzes architecture of USIF and its key components. Also, this paper studies pluggable provider mechanism of USIF.Then, the paper discusses how to integrate USIF with ONCEPI. Both the goals and scheme of integration have been explored. In order for the integration to be accomplished, appropriate modifications have to be made into Resources Modeling and Worklist Server of ONCEPI.This paper also focuses on monitoring of Service-Oriented Workflow System, which covers monitoring of process or activity instances in the Process Engine and monitoring of Web Services that bind to activity instances in the runtime. Based on a thorough understanding of weaknesses in monitoring module of ONCEPI, we've proposed a monitoring scheme based on message exchange. Audit Repository is in charge of message exchange. Through addition of customized handlers in request or response chain of USIF, monitoring of Web Services is now viable.
