During the 1990s', with the rapid development of information technology, the information system was extensively applied in various kinds of education, study and scientific research in universities. This greatly promoted the fast blooming of every cause in university. However, among building up one's own campus network and starting to promote the application level of campus network, along the road to the target of "E-Campus", the current information system in university has shown its own shortcomings.The problems of the current information system in university is that the former information systems were basically developed by separate departments independently, and every application system had their own sets of identity authentication and access control mechanism. In this circumstance, users have to enter different passwords when they want to use different application systems. It is a big problem that users often forget or lost their passwords. On the other hand, if the user uses the same password for several systems so that he has no need to remember so many passwords, it will lead to another problem. A hacker can steal the user's password easily from the system with low-level security, and then invade into the system with high-level system.In this point, it seems to be an urgent task to develop university education comprehensive management information system based on the information integration and exploitation of campus network as a core with the grand background of "digital campus network" information work. To achieve that goal, we must build up a digital campus Uniform Identity Authentication System. The core of the Uniform IdentityAuthentication is that only one authentication service system in the whole campus takes the place of all the authentication modules for every application system. The identity authentication function can be fulfilled if only each application system use the Uniform Identity Authentication API. This thesis discusses how to solve the data synchronization problem between Uniform Identity Authentication System and relatedapplication systems under the latest network compute environment-Web Services,combined with the reality of digital campus construction in our university.This thesis firstly introduces the concept of E-Campus and analyzes the development and current research situation of domestic E-Campus. From that, the conclusion concerning framework of our university's E-Campus could be concluded. Then, the concept of the Uniform Identity Authentication was introduced, the principal for the Uniform Identity Authentication was also explained. As it shows, it is inevitable that the problems of the data synchronization between the Uniform Identity Authentication system and the current application systems will occur. At thesame time, it analyzed the system's software architecture-the Web Servicesarchitecture and the core technologies. And it concluded that this system willuse the Sun ONE software architecture. It also analyzed LDAP, which is the access method of the Sun ONE Identity Server. The software for this system were selected on these basis. The configuration and design on the both side of Uniform Identity Authentication system and application system were also expounded. In the final analysis, it introduced the system whole processing flow, the thorough design and realization of three core function modules, with the students management system as application background.
