Research On The Resource Evaluation Of Chinese Aggregator Databases

With the development of computer and web technology, digital resources become generally important in colleges and universities libraries, and aggregator databases get gradually more important in digital resources. With the development of Chinese databases industry, aggregator databases have been a important database product.But the research on digital evaluation or appraisement has been developed more slowly in our country than than much of other countries. The aggregator databases is innovated constantly and developed quickly, and the Chinese aggregator databases have become not only an important part of virtual resources of library holdings, but also of out country's information resources industrialization construction in recent years. It is no more than 20 years since the Chinese aggregator databases was produced.What's the current situation of the Chinese aggregator databases,how to evaluate or appraise a aggregator database,etc. all needs us to study further. The article is divided into three parts altogether, after the overall description of aggregator databases, I introduce the current situation of Chinese aggregator databases ,then I analyzes the problems existing in the evaluation of Chinese aggregator databases. Last ,according to the appraisement principles,I put forward a scientific and reasonable system of indicators for the evaluation of Chinese aggregator databases.
