Economic globalization brings both great opportunities and challenges to the whole world. Being the key factor to influence the global consumer market, the price factor has always been the most important sector to affect the competitive strategies for the companies. Those problems like making use of the information produced by the changes of the price, integrating with the changes of the market prices, forecasting the trend of the price and trying to master the current situations of the market then to make the final decisions, have already become the key issues for the leading sectors of the enterprises to solve as soon as possible. From the real perspective and in accordance with the real project requirements, taking the already developed and currently being used steel product price analyzing system based upon Web GIS as a example, this thesis is mainly focusing on the aspects like the architecture, functional structure, database management of the system, especially has a detailed explanation of the designs of the different kinds of special maps and management sector.
