In this thesis, the development of monitoring system is discussed. Analyzing advantages and disadvantages of the methods used in present systems, the thesis proposes and implements an embedded monitoring system based on the real time operating system μ C/OS-Ⅱand condensed TCP/IP.In system development, the real time operating system μ C/OS-Ⅱ is ported firstly. After particularly studying and comparing, the TCP/IP stack is simplified so that it needs less system resources. A condensed TCP/IP stack is implemented. Considering the characters and functions of the system, system tasks are established on μ C/OS-Ⅱ. The thesis also develops the server of the monitoring system in remote PC.Finally, the thesis concludes the performance of the system and gives some advice of further development.
