Hand-drawn sketch always be used as a method to present design ideas by-designer, but there are data gap between sketch and 3D model creation. Recognation of hand-drawn stroke is a efficacious way to solve problem, but there are still no sutra algorithm which recognized the stroke exactly, otherwise the recognition demands high reuseable because hand-drawn stroke recognize is a multi-lever recognize process.In allusion to this problems, the paper developed the sketch engine by COM technology. The following is the main contents of the paper.The paper constructed two hand-drawn sketch recognize algorithm: 1). Recognize algorithm for Single-drawn stroke, the algorithm based on three recognize characters: closed character, feature point character and bounding box character, constructed corresponding classifier, then implemented recognition for single-drawn stroke which has been pretreated. 2). Recognize algorithm for multi-drawn stroke. First, got the target sketch based on bitmap edge detected algorithm, got the recongnize data of the target sketch by anylsis of the original sketch data, so the multi-drawn stroke recognition changed to single-drawn recognition, the implmented the recognition by single-drawn stroke recognize algorithm.After that, the paper designed the interfaces of component and data format, encapsulated the two algorithm in the component by COM technology got the sketch recognize engine.The paper adopted the solidworks2005 as the validate platform. It validated that the recognize engine can get preferably recognize veracity, and it has good reuseable and good extension.
