An Expert System For Cotton Diseases Diagnosis

Based on the analysis of user needs, characteristics and rules of the cotton diseases, The thinking framework of expert in cotton disease diagnosis is simulated, and the model of fuzzy diagnostic reasoning based on the fuzzy rules is put forward to be applied in a Cotton Diseases Diagnosis Expert System (CDDES), which was developed in JSP. The main works of this research are listed as follows:Firstly, The thinking framework of expert in cotton disease diagnosis is analyzed to be full simulated in the CDIDES; meanwhile the diagnostic conditions are ensured. Thus the deficiency of expert thinking existing in the previous cotton disease diagnosis expert system is solved.Secondly, The fuzzy rules based reasoning model for cotton disease diagnosis is adopt; Furthermore, we modify the model twice, the first revise strived to eliminate the difference within subpopulations, the other revise try to eliminate the difference between subpopulations, the two revise make the model perform more practical.Thirdly, The presentation of knowledge based on clastic production rule is selected to build the diagnostic knowledge base, and index database based on the identify characteristic is adopted in diagnostic reasoning search, which improve the efficiency of the system.The dissertation' conclusion can be used as reference for the developers and researchers to research and apply in other crop diseases diagnosis expert system.
